NYSCA - 10% Cut

The budget Gov. Cuomo released today has a 10% cut to NYSCA.
That is a reduction of $3.5 million in grants funding and another $500,000 decrease in operational costs.
The Egg, which is also in this section of the budget, is also cut 10%.
News reports say the 10% decrease to operational costs is across the board for state agencies. Whether that is accurate is unclear, but probably so.
However, a decrease of 10% in grants funding is a different issues. While not as bad as some feared, it comes on top of a four year steady decrease which has resulted in an overall loss of 30% in grant dollars.
