Introducing Dance/USA's Mentorship Program

Interested in being a Mentor? Or have you ever wanted guidance as a Mentee? We've got you covered!

Dance/USA is thrilled to announce the launch of its Mentorship Program, to commence at the 2011 Annual Conference in Chicago. This Mentorship Program will be comprised of one-on-one relationships that facilitate building stronger networks and leaders in the dance field. We hope to make connections between Dance/USA members, bolstering personal and professional development of artists and administrators in the field.

Dance/USA will select up to 10 Mentor-Mentee pairs to participate in its Mentorship Program. With regular communication between Mentors and Mentees that fosters self-direction, self-reflection, and embracing challenge, the relationships between Mentors and Mentees can extend beyond geographic boundaries, explore various areas of interest, and provide exposure to opportunities available in our field.

There is a $250 travel stipend available to assist each mentor and mentee. All Dance/USA members in good standing, who plan to attend the 2011 Annual Conference in Chicago, are eligible to apply.

Mentor and Mentee applications are due Tuesday, May 3 at 5pm EDT. Program participants will be notified of their selection no later than Friday, May 13.

Hope to see you in Chicago!
