Dancing Through College and Beyond, October 30th

Check out photos of this year's event on October 30th, 2011.

The annual FREE “Dancing Through College and Beyond” will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Marymount Manhattan College, 221 East 71st Street (bet 2nd & 3rd Ave) New York, NY 10021. Registration that day begins at 9:30am and the sessions begin at 10:15am. The day is for students, parents and teachers to explore dance opportunities beyond high school. It is presented by Career Transition For Dancers, Dancewave, Dance/NYC and Pentacle with space generously provided by the Marymount Manhattan College.

This event is a full day of networking, information and panels to help high school students, teachers, and parents of students navigate dancing in college from applications, financial aid, through graduation. Free for all participants, the panels will bring together numerous college admissions representatives, college professors, career counselors, alumni and even parents of dance program alums to give you their expert advice on how to get into the program that's right for you; make the most of all that the school has to offer and prepare for a successful career post-graduation. This is one-stop shopping to meet many representatives from top dance programs in and around New York City and the country.

There are still a limited number of booths that are available for the College Fair.
If you are a college dance program representative and would like to register for the Information Fair, please register at http://dtcb2011colleges.eventbrite.com or contact Laura Stein of Dancewave at laura@dancewave.org / 718.522.4696.

This special event is FREE but it does require pre-registration for students, parents and teachers beginning on September 10, 2011 at http://dancingthroughcollege2011.eventbrite.com/. For any additional information or questions, please email: DancingThroughCollege@gmail.com or call (347) 618-1734. The event is a part of Dancewave’s Kids Cafe Festival Goes to College.
