Application Process

Dance/NYC is using an online application portal (dancenyc.submittable.com).

Tier I 
The EOI submission portal closed on June 18, 2024, at 5:00 pm. ET.

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) Form on Submittable including:

• Operating Budgets (FY22 & FY23 actuals)
• Proof of tax-exempt or fiscal sponsorship status
• History of at least three years of local dance-making activity in the metropolitan NYC area 
• Most recent Financial Statement or IRS Form 990

Following submission, Dance/NYC will review the EOI materials for eligibility and completeness. Grantees of the previous (2022-2023) iteration of the program will not be required to respond to the EOI and will automatically be invited to the next part of the application process, in as much as they are in good standing and in alignment with program goals and management.  Applicants who submit a complete and eligible EOI at this phase of the process will receive a modest honorarium of $200 for their work and advance to the next phase. Grantees of the previous (2022-2023) iteration of the program who are automatically invited to the next tier of the application process will not receive an EOI honorarium.

Tier II
The full application portal is open and the deadline is August 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. ET. Applicants who moved forward from the EOI process have been invited to submit an accessible online application form. Dance/NYC encourages all applicants to review the application guide to ensure adequate time to prepare materials.

Submit the Application on Submittable including:

• Financial Information Form (FY23 actuals & FY24 forecasted budget)
• Equity Matrix
• Work sample (optional, related to intended use of funds)

Applicants who submit complete applications will receive a modest honorarium of $440 in recognition of the labor and resources required to participate in the application process, regardless of the outcome of their application.
