Dance/NYC is committed to accessibility and equity for disabled and immigrant people in its programs. Each method of application assistance includes specific details for how to request support.
 

Webinar

To assist prospective applicants, Dance/NYC will hold a webinar virtually via Zoom detailing how to complete both the expression of interest and full application forms and answering questions. All applicants are strongly encouraged to participate. The webinar will include Closed Captioning and ASL interpretation.

Technical Assistance Sessions

Dance/NYC will be holding virtual one-on-one technical assistance sessions to support prospective applicants in the completion of their applications via phone (voice-only) dictation or Zoom. Dance/NYC staff and program consultant are happy to provide assistance with all aspects of considering if this opportunity is right for you, including but not limited to questions about eligibility, required materials, assistance completing the application in Submittable, and more. Dance/NYC staff and program consultant cannot provide advice on application content.

Register for

• one (1) 20-minute session to receive one-on-one support, including but not limited to answering questions about eligibility, required materials, etc; and/or

• one (1) 40-minute session to receive one-on-one support assisting with the completion of the application in Submittable.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register for no more than one session of each technical assistance support type; if after your first session you require additional assistance, the Dance/NYC staff will coordinate a follow up with you directly. Spanish and Chinese translation or ASL interpretation will be available upon request for those who register at least five business days in advance. Closed captioning will be available for all one-on-one sessions through an automated captioning service; if you require live captioning, please register at least five business days in advance and specify your request for live captioning.

Professional Development Webinars

Dance/NYC has partnered with Niya Nicholson and Laurel Lawson to provide a series of recorded professional development webinars intended to aid applicants in developing their application materials for the Fund as well as any other application processes. Dance/NYC recommends all applicants review the webinars prior to completing their application. All webinars include Closed Captioning and ASL interpretation.
