Application and Timeline

Application Process

Dance/NYC is using an online application portal (dancenyc.submittable.com). 

Tier I

The EOI submission portal closes on June 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) Form on Submittable including:

  • Operating Budgets (FY24 and FY25 actuals)
  • Proof of tax-exempt or fiscal sponsorship status
  • History of at least three years of local dance-making activity in the New York City metropolitan area 
  • Most recent financial statement or IRS Form 990

Following submission, Dance/NYC will review the EOI materials for eligibility and completeness. Applicants who have submitted an eligible and complete EOI will receive an invitation to submit a full application in Tier II. Applicants not invited to submit the full application following review of the EOI submissions will have an opportunity to meet with the Dance/NYC team to receive feedback.

SUBMIT AN Expression Of interest


Grantees of the previous cohort (2024-2026) will not be required to submit an EOI, in as much as they are in good standing and in alignment with program goals, but will be automatically invited to submit a full application for consideration. While dance companies are eligible to receive the award multiple times, priority may be given to first time or second time awardees.

Tier II

The full application portal will open on June 30, 2026, and close on August 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Applicants who move forward from the EOI process will receive a direct link to an accessible online application form. Dance/NYC encourages all applicants to review the application guide to ensure adequate time to prepare materials.

Submit the application on Submittable including:

  • Financial Information Form (FY25 actuals and FY26 forecasted budget)
  • Equity Matrix (a questionnaire used to ensure that historically under-resourced groups are prioritized)
  • Work sample (optional, related to intended use of funds)

Applicants who submit complete Tier II applications will receive a modest honorarium of $455 in recognition of the labor and resources required to participate in the application process, regardless of the outcome of their application.

Aline Pilates Mat Teacher Training: Summer Intensive & Comprehensive Certification Program Aline is offering Teacher Training this summer! Whether you want to deepen your practice or begin the path toward teaching, this program offers a focused, immersive experience in the foundations of the classical Pilates method. Aline will be accepting a small, intimate group to ensure personalized guidance and support throughout the training. Schedule (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) • June 20–21 — Beginner Mat • July 25–26 — Intermediate Mat Location: 236 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 Investment: $450 per weekend You do not need to commit to both weekends—you are welcome to choose the session that best fits your goals.
