REVERBdance Festival 2013

 
REVERBdance Festival / APAP 2013 is excited to be moving forward into its 8th year of producing top dance makers in New York City. In January 2013, during the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference NYC the REVERBdance Festival will be at the 220 seat black box theater at Baruch Performing Arts Center from Friday January 11th to Sunday January 13th.

We will be showcasing the work of 16 curated applicants and are thrilled to announce a $1000 prize to the one choreographer who wins the hearts of our audience members and selected viewing panel. In the past, our carefully curated dance festival has shown the work of prominent choreographers such as Andrea Miller of Galim, Austin McCormick of Company XIV, Sidra Bell of Sidra Bell Dance New York, and Nelly van Bommel of NOA Dance.

There will be four fully produced performances January 11th thru the 13thtaking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings plus a Sunday matinee.

This great opportunity will include two presentations of one work, up to ten minutes in length. REVERBdance will provide lighting design and 30 minutes of tech time.

A Wine Reception will be held following every performance. You will be featured in our postcards advertising REVERBdance Festival APAP 2013, and will be given the chance to market yourself as an individual choreographer of company in the lobby of Baruch Performing Arts Center.

There will be a company class for dancers on Friday night January 11thtaught by Bradley Shelver. Two complimentary contemporary workshops will be held on Saturday January 12th, lead by Sidra Bell and Bradley Shelver.

Applications are due September 15, 2012. All applicants are invited to take our workshops for free.
