Seeking International Dancers for Documentary Film
About the Film.
Each year, young people from around the globe make the big move to America to fulfill their dreams as performing artists. This documentary film focuses on the students who've come to New York City to train in hip hop dance in hopes of becoming the next professional backup dancer for Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Madonna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, or other star performers. Through Q&A interviews, class and rehearsal footage, photo montages, and voiceovers, the documentary will reveal the fears, hopes, and triumphs of international student dancers as well as showcase the fierce, inner culture of contemporary hip hop in New York City.
