Flea Theater: Project Coordinator - Dance
The award-winning Flea Theater seeks a highly motivated individual with excellent organizational, communication and logistical skills to join our small entrepreneurial Off-Off Broadway organization. This new position will become an integral member of the leadership team bringing emerging, mid-career and established dancers, choreographers, and dance/movement groups to perform at The Flea as part of a unique co-producing model when we move into our new three theater performance arts complex.
The ideal candidate will have a deep working knowledge of the dance scene here in NYC as well as throughout the country and the globe, experience producing and/or presenting dance of all forms and iterations, and a clear vision for programming. This position will be responsible for bringing 10+ weeks of dance performance to The Flea annually and works directly with The Flea’s Producing and Artistic Directors to identify artists who would benefit from the exposure and producing support The Flea can provide. This position is not expected to be full time, but curatorial in nature.
