Nimbus Dance Works Seeks Fall Interns

About the Internship:

Nimbus Dance Works, New Jersey's most exciting and innovative contemporary dance company, seeks 4 highly motivated and goal-oriented administrative interns for the Fall 2016 Season. The 18-Week Fall Term starts September 2016 and culminates on February 11, 2017.

Interns will be required to work 2-3 days per week at Nimbus Dance Works’ home studio in downtown Jersey City. Interns with Nimbus will gain administrative and organizational professional experience, working on projects related to general marketing, development, programming, operations, outreach and administrative research for Nimbus Dance Works Professional Company & The School of Nimbus Dance Works.

Nimbus will provide interns with a $200 stipend and interns are welcome to join any adult level classes at the School of Nimbus Dance Works at no cost. Once accepted, interns will receive a complete job description and work with their coordinators to create specific, actionable professional goals to work towards in the arts field. Internships can be completed for academic credit.

Founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Samuel Pott, Nimbus Dance Works is a growing company and school that brings dance into the communities it serves. Entering the company’s 12th season, Nimbus Dance Works impacts more than 16,000 people each year. The company’s outreach programs serve over 2,000 youth each year in the Jersey City schools. Nimbus presents biannual home seasons in Jersey City, New York City and tours regularly throughout the United States. Nimbus educates dancers of all ages at The School of Nimbus Dance Works offering dance classes to diverse youth and adults from the region.
