Dancewave Seeks Outstanding African Dance Teaching Artist
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an upbeat, positive African Teaching Artist for grade school students. The right candidate will have experience in a public school setting, be highly organized, and have strong class management skills. An ideal applicant plays the drums/has their own drum, but it is not a requirement for the position. This is an exciting and rewarding job for an experienced teaching artist who wants to engage with local and underserved communities! Our residencies take place in all 5 NYC boroughs.
ABOUT D-WAVE IN MOTION: D-Wave in Motion brings high quality arts education residencies based on NYC standards and best practices. We offer New York City schools the opportunity to craft an arts in education program customized to meet the specific needs of their school curriculum and students abilities through the D-Wave in Motion program.
Our in-school residencies encompass a variety of dance genres and are offered both within school hours and/or during after school programs. Our program is available year-round and can last anywhere from a two-day workshop/master class to a year-long residency.
