Choreographers Wanted for Multimedia Project Revolving Around Poetry

Ginevra Animated Still Tess Martin

Production company working on a multi-media project is looking for choreographers/dancers to collaborate on a unique dance piece based on a choice of poems from the 1950s and earlier. The overall project consists of animated films, dances, virtual reality experiences, 3D projections, and possibly more - all based on the concept of bringing to light the themes, messages, emotional undertones, and etc. of poems - many of which are just as relevant today as they were upon original publication. The project is centered on pure artistic interpretation, so any choreographer who comes on board will be given an audio piece that was created to score a reading of the text, and create a movement series (or dance) based on that audio piece, aiming to capture the meaning and emotions of the poem (they will get to choose from a collection of 10) through this unique artform.

All interested parties should email me, Max Rothman, at maxrothmancrew@gmail.com with an introduction, an explanation of why they think they'd be a good fit for the project, and a sample of work (whether it is a reel or a single dance, some sort of visual representation is required for consideration).

Thank you very much and looking forward to speaking with you all soon.
