HATCH Presenting Series provides a cost free space for both emerging and established artists to investigate new choreography.  It has presented over 1,000 new works since its inception, and facilitates an invaluable dialogue between artists and audience.

About HATCH:

HATCH Presenting Series was created in the Spring of 1997 in response to the need in the dance field for a cost-free space that enables emerging choreographers to investigate new work, present works-in-progress and engage in dialogue with the audience, free from financial pressure and the scrutiny of critical response.

This program presents Saturday evening performances each year sectioned into Fall and Spring series. The emerging choreographers who participate in the HATCH Series vary in age, perspective and technique. The Works believes that each of their voices deserves a platform for mentorship and performance. The dances offered range from solo to group pieces, some accompanied by live music or actors.

Jennifer Muller/The Works, celebrating its 43rd Anniversary, has electrified world audiences with its passionate work and superb dancers in 39 countries on four continents, 30 States in the USA and produced 26 NYC Seasons at City Center, the Joyce, Cedar Lake and New York Live Arts among others.  JMTW has performed at major theaters and festivals worldwide, spanning hemispheres from Buenos Aires to Montreal and circumnavigating the globe from Shanghai to Moscow, with performances in Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok, Tel Aviv, Rome and Amsterdam to name a few.  In 2017, appearances included Harbin, Tianjin and Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts.
