Applications are open for Small Plates Choreography Festival, a curated dance performance series to be presented on October 6 and 7, 2018 at Triskelion Arts, Muriel Schulman Theater in Brooklyn, NY. Choreographers interested in presenting work that meet the requirements detailed below are welcome to apply.

The Muriel Schulman Theater is an 88 seat black box theater with performance area dimensions of approximately 28' wide x 43' deep. The performances will be put up with full stage lighting. Choreographers will be allotted a short technical rehearsal to set a limited number of light cues with a lighting designer on the day of the performance.

Ensemble dance works no longer than 10 minutes long and solo works no longer than 8 minutes will be considered. Completed work will be given priority over works-in-progress or proposed work. We will consider work that is only available for one of the evenings, but priority acceptance is given to artists that are able to show work on both/either programs. All work will be adjudicated by a panel of career choreographers and dance professionals holding BFA's/MFA's from university dance programs across the nation, and experienced in Dance, Production and Mixed Media Arts.

There is an application fee of $20.00 per piece and an additional production fee of $50 if your work is chosen. Your fee must be paid before your work will be considered. Production fees are due one week after notification of acceptance.

Choreographers who have their work chosen will be given one complimentary ticket to each performance and are expected to help populate the audience by bringing at least two paid patrons to each performance in which their work appears. Choreographers will also receive a video and photographs of their work after the show.
