Artistic Director / Choregrapher Nuo An is seeking dancers with classical ballet training or strong foundation in Modern or Contemporary Dance for a forthcoming performance in early January 2019. Ideal candidates will be comfortable with learning a new Spiritual dance technique, which integrates principals of ballet, modern dance and dance therapy.

 

The performance in 2019, will present a collaboration of 11-12 dancers, alongside artwork, to construct the rich connections with dance and the visual arts, theater, fashion, and new representations of the body. Focusing on New York’s role in a transatlantic exchange of Eastern and Western cultures and the universal language of emotions. Dancers will develop a new work in collaboration with Nuo An, through rehearsal at Ballet Hispanico and Gibney Dance studios.

    • Individuals must be 18 years or older and be legally eligible to work in the United States

SEPTEMBER 9, SUNDAY

Morning: 11:30am-1pm
Afternoon: 1:30pm-3pm;
Late Afternoon: 3:45-5:30pm

SEPTEMBER 11, TUESDAY

Morning: 11:00am-1pm
Afternoon: 1:30pm-3pm;
Late Afternoon: 3:45-5:30pm

PRIORITY
Four male dancers and one female dancer
Strong ballet and modern dance background, or two or more years in a dance company.

Notes:
Dancers must arrive 30minutes prior to the audition for picking up numbers and warm up.

Dancers will be required to commit 15/hours per week for rehearsal's on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Rehearsal days interrupted by weather or national holiday will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience
