The School at Peridance is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and professional dance educator specialized in Hip Hop for its 2018-2019 school year.

Education, Skills and Experience

-At least 3 years of teaching experience in Hip Hop

- Previous experience teaching 6-11 year olds and/or teenagers 

- The ideal candidate has passion for dance education and can commit to the duration of the program (September – June) while maintaining a consistent schedule.

- Strong communication skills

- Strong classroom management skills

Interested applicants must be available from September 2018-June 2019 on Mondays 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM, and/or Fridays 4:00PM – 6:00PM, and/or Saturdays 12:15PM – 2:30PM, as well as for additional performances in June 2019.

There may be an opportunity to be the Company Director/Choreographer of The School at Peridance's youth Hip Hop performing company. This company rehearses weekly on Saturday afternoons, as well as performing in various NYC venues throughout the school year. Candidates who have experience with directing/choreographing for student companies are best suited for this position.
