We’re getting ready for our third annual Shindig: a social gathering with dance — our signature event that brings bold new performance together with an unforgettable community celebration. We’re looking for one female presenting or non-binary dancer to join our dynamic company for this season’s production!

The invited audition will take place on Friday, June 6th at The Ailey Studios. We’ll be running two audition groups: 10:30am-12:00pm and 12:30pm-2:00pm. The audition will include improvisation, partner work, and repertoire. You’ll be notified by June 2nd if you’re selected to attend the in-person audition. Finalists will then schedule a short Zoom interview between June 8–10 before casting is confirmed.

Compensation + Rehearsals
- $20/hour for rehearsals
- $150 per performance day
- Rehearsals begin the 2nd week of July and are about 4 hours per week leading up to the performance at the end of September (tentatively Sept 26 + 27)
 
About the Work
This year we will begin a new creation process centering on themes of relationships, climate change, and our place in this world. We will also be re-working past repertoire that celebrate women’s stories and empowerment. The choreography is contemporary, physical, a little quirky, and includes light audience interaction — so we’re looking for bold movers who are excited to connect and play.
