Creative Movement Teacher

Steffi Nossen Dance Foundation, a non-profit organization in Westchester, NY is
seeking a part-time creative movement teacher for outreach programs. Faculty serve as
ambassadors for the foundation, ensuring positive interaction with all students, while
creating a safe and inspiring environment to explore movement. This dedicated
individual will be expected to follow the provided Steffi Nossen curriculum using an
outgoing and enthusiastic teaching style. The Steffi Nossen method is known for
providing the highest quality dance education, while nurturing the love and appreciation
of this art form.


Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned classes consistent with designed curriculum for 2-5 year olds
- Class preparation and weekly communication with staff
- Choreograph piece for student performance (if needed)
- Attend faculty meeting, curriculum meetings, and teacher training seminars
as scheduled

Schedule: As part-time faculty, 1- 6 hours per week, for an average of 30 weeks per
year. This would not include available teaching opportunities during our variety of
Summer Programs.
Transportation: Must have own car. Outreach opportunities at various locations
throughout Westchester.
Salary: $45/hour + (dependent on experience).
Education: High school or equivalent (Required). BA/BFA in Dance Performance or
Education (Preferred).
Experience: Teaching: 2 years (Required).
Work Location: Outreach classes are offered at multiple locations throughout
Westchester.
