We’re looking for two people to join our ongoing dancing investigations this fall, and are planning to hold a session toward this on Saturday afternoon September 13.

[This is for several performance proposals awaiting acceptance, and other future projects currently being planned.]

Here’s what we have in mind:

A lot of experience improvising (Contact is great but a wider background is better—and advised), and commitment to it as a practice (not exclusively of course!).

Dancing marked by articulate ability, the quality of one’s moving (incorporating/digesting whatever tools and training a person has latched onto, leading to a certain ease/liquidity), and a sense of substance.

The folks we’re looking for should be seasoned (likely over 30 years old). Maturity and experience are important, so we can get down to doing what we do.

Our rehearsals generally take place on weeknight evenings (usually Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday), dictated by the availability of studio space (with very occasional exceptions, like a Wednesday or Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, if absolutely necessary). Twice a week to start, so our new compatriots can most quickly find their way into the mix and we can dive into the project(s) at hand. [Rehearsals will begin during the week directly following the 9/13 session.]

We’ve been engaging interesting stuff with some wonderful dancers for a long time, and there’s much more on the table (before proceeding, people should check out any of the video accessible through my website: www.youtinydancer.com).
