Help us preserve the Legacy of Dance Scope!
Dear Dance Community,
From 1965 to 1981, the American Dance Guild published Dance Scope, a groundbreaking journal that illuminated every corner of the modern dance world. Edited by Marcia Siegel, it featured insightful articles and interviews with dance legends including José Limón, Martha Graham, Erick Hawkins, Trisha Brown, Meredith Monk, Yvonne Rainer, and many more.
Now, as we approach our 70th Anniversary in 2026, we’re launching a vital preservation effort to digitize the complete archives of Dance Scope and make them accessible to the public.
These pages not only hold our history, but they are also a bridge to the future – one you can make possible with your donation.
Your support will help us:
Preserve rare and fragile materials from 16 years of dance history.
Digitize the physical journals for ongoing public access.
Celebrate the enduring impact of modern dance.
Contributors will be listed as supporters of this historic project on ADG materials and receive early access to the Dance Scope digital archives.
