DANCE ITALIA 2026

Dance Italia is a vibrant community of artists and educators who gather each summer in Lucca, Italy to challenge themselves artistically within a rigorous and supportive professional environment. Each dancer receives individualized attention as they engage in an immersive training experience rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and growth.

As we enter our 15th edition, Dance Italia remains committed to supporting the technical, artistic, and personal development of every participant in a safe, non-competitive, and non-judgmental space.

DI thrives on creative exchange, exploration, and the opportunity to experience a diverse spectrum of contemporary dance and movement practices. Dancers expand their skills through daily classes, workshops, discussions, informal showings, and performances, while engaging with world-renowned artists through both structured programming and informal social gatherings—becoming part of an extended international network of artists.

Dance Italia is run by Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup, a not-for-profit contemporary dance organization dedicated to fostering artistic exchange, supporting international artists, and building meaningful mentorship pathways. Grounded in values of empowerment and sustainability, DI provides a vital framework for developing healthy and informed approaches to navigating the dance field.

Classes and workshops are held at Motore592, located at Via Matteo Civitali, 592, in Lucca, Italy.

Program Options & Tuition

Dance Italia offers flexible enrollment options, allowing dancers to participate for 4 weeks, 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week, or workshops only.

4 Weeks (June 13 – July 10): €2,100 

3 Weeks: €1,650 

1 Week: €525
