Dance Team Coach for Competition Studio in NYC

Seeking hard-working, loyal, energetic, experienced head dance coach for COMPETITIVE dance teams an Upper East Side / West Side for the 2026-27 season. Specifically looking for an DANCE TEAM, HIP HOP, and SASSY JAZZ instructor available starting Sept - May on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.. Season runs Sept-May with competitions at the end of the season. June and August summer dance Intensive M-W for new hire for the season.

Shooting Stars encourages students to find their voices, and develop lifelong friendships through performing arts. The company consists of talented dancers ages 6 – 18, all of whom auditioned to be in the company. The students of SSDC have won over 800 titles at some of the largest Dance Competitions in the Country; gone on to receive scholarships; and many continue to dance on elite college teams. The renowned dance company has been featured in W Magazine, AGT, HBO, Teen FOX News, and performed for The Harlem Globetrotters, NY Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, and NY Jets. SSDC was the first ever cghildren's dance company to open for the Rockettes at Radio City. Shooting Stars dancers are well-versed in all styles of dance including hip- hop, street jazz, lyrical, acro, musical theater, and contemporary.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Shooting Stars is seeking a former or current Pro-Team or College Team dancer to work as head coach for some of our most elite teams. Hard-working, reliable, and passionate about educating students through dance! Full season commitment Sept 2026 - May 2027. June/August fior unew hires. Training soon. Must teach Hip Hop, Sassy Jazz, and Dance-team..

TRIAL PERIOD: Candidates will be asked to teach a brief trial class at our UES location as audition/ interview (more info to be disclosed).
