Position Overview
Peridance is seeking a motivated and creative Media Intern to support our communications and digital presence. This internship is ideal for someone interested in arts administration, dance media, marketing, or content creation who is eager to gain hands-on experience within a vibrant performing arts organization.
Responsibilities
Assist with capturing photo and video content of classes, rehearsals, performances, and events
Support social media content creation, scheduling, and posting across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Help organize and maintain Peridance’s digital media archive
Assist with basic video editing and image selection for promotional use
Support marketing and communications needs for performances, residencies, and educational programs
Provide occasional on-site support during performances and special events
Qualifications
Strong interest in dance, performing arts, media, or arts organizations
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content trends
Basic experience with photography, videography, or editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Canva, or similar) preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Availability to work some evenings or weekends for performances (as scheduled in advance)
