Join SDNYC in this year's Dance Parade!

Saturday, May 16, we will be participating in the Dance Parade (again!) and we would love to have you join us!

There are 2 very short phrases to learn as a group (about 30 seconds each), one will be performed every other block, the second phrase will be performed at the Grand Stand (8th St & 4th Ave) in East Village. The parade starts at 17th St & 6th Ave, and ends at Tompkins Square Park, from roughly 11am-4pm on Saturday. 

To rehearse these phrases as a group, we will have one meeting at Brooklyn Arts Exchange on Sunday, May 10, from 4-5pm. If you are unable to make the in person rehearsal but still want to perform- you may! Videos of the movement phrases will be sent to all participants no later than May 3 for you to prepare. 

There is a $30 performance stipend for this project.

If you would like to be a HELPER, and not perform/dance, you will also receive a $30 stipend the day of the parade. We would love some extra hands with holding signage, carrying waters, the speaker, taking videos, ect. :)
