ETD Outreach Seeks Guided Arts & Crafts Instructor

ETD Outreach is seeking an engaging Guided Arts & Crafts Instructor to lead weekly workshops on Mondays in the Bronx (10456), beginning in May 2026. This role requires a dynamic teaching artist who is comfortable working within diverse communities and can travel to the Bronx consistently.

We are looking for someone who brings both creative expertise and strong facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt to and connect with those living in supportive housing, including individuals affected by substance use, mental health diagnoses, and other underserved populations.

This position will begin with one weekly workshop, with the potential to grow into additional workshops over time based on program needs and instructor availability.

About ETD Outreach
Building communities through the arts, ETD Outreach is a division of Eryc Taylor Dance that works to create positive social change by using the arts as a tool to inspire and heal. Our unique initiative partners with supportive housing sites, hospitals, and community centers throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and beyond to curate movement workshops for vulnerable populations including mental illness, and/or disabilities.

Mondays in the Bronx (please confirm availability in your application)

Key Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of professional teaching experience

High-energy, adaptable, and engaging teaching style

Experience working with diverse and/or vulnerable populations

Strong background in visual arts and curriculum development

Ability to travel to the Bronx reliably

Movement background is a plus

Multilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply

Independent contractor liability insurance (may be obtained after interview)

Compensation:
$65 per 1-hour workshop (opportunity to grow with time).
