STUDIO TO STAGE is a residency and showcase opportunity for choreographers addressing the technical aspects of performance. Choreographers are supported with rehearsal space, tech time in the studio theater, lighting design consultation, as well as invaluable information about the design process to use on any stage.

The culmination of the STUDIO TO STAGE residency is a showcase performance of the choreographer’s work @theAO Studio Theater along with video archive of the performance. All choreographers, including those at various stages of their careers, within our BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, and with different levels of abilities are welcome to apply.
