Building Racial Equity Program: MAKING TROUBLE -- I Mean What You See

MAKING TROUBLE: I Mean What You See

Facilitated by Paule Turner, Rowan University, Dance Dept. Chair – Associate Professor

Saturday, October 23th from 12:30pm-2:30pm. EDT | Register: https://withribbon.com/u/clancyworks | FREE

This B.R.E.A.D. session will use Modern Dance as a means for creating safe, brave spaces that move beyond inclusivity, and strive to find racial equity within our various dance world(s). Join us for either one or both of the sessions (same class planned but different conversations with different participants), in a workshop that will include movement, dialogue, and sharing knowledge of anti-racism practices and tools.

As part of an ongoing monthly series titled Building Racial Equity in the Arts through Dance (B.R.E.A.D.) these FREE workshops are Presented by ClancyWorks Dance Company in partnership with Rajeeyah Finnie-Myers, Affiliate Trainer with Narrative Arts and Culture (NAC) at Race Forward. These workshops, led by various facilitators from organizations who have proven backgrounds in facilitating racial justice trainings, are open to everyone, with an interest to focus on dancers, teaching artists, educators, administrators and the wider dance community. Please email bread@clancyworks.org with any questions.

Saturday, November 13th from 12:30-2:30pm EST and Wednesday, November 17th from 4pm-6pm EST
